Stay on the Farm

Blue Pepper Farm is a 156-acre working sheep dairy with three lodging options on the farm available year round. Enjoy staggering mountain panoramic views overlooking lush pastures where sheep and laying hens graze.

Farmhouse

The main farmhouse, fully renovated in 2001, provides stunning mountain views, a private swimming pool, and sleeps 10 with plenty of privacy and space for a group. The house has 5 bedrooms; one king, three queens, and two twin beds (cribs available). There are 3 bathrooms. Enjoy a fully equipped kitchen for family meals, and set up a farm tour during your stay.

The Yurt

A 30' yurt is tucked into the pines overlooking the pasture with mountain views out across the AuSable Valley. Located in the Jay, it's a perfect base camp for summer hikes, bikes or paddles in the Adirondacks. The yurt is roughly 700 square feet, broken into three main spaces. There is a master bedroom with a queen bed, a smaller bunk room with twin bunks, then a big space with a living room and kitchen area with a table. Outside you'll find a new roofed outdoor kitchen space with a range/oven, gas grill, stainless steel commercial sinks and plenty of space to set up a spectacular meal. Tucked behind the kitchen is a wonderful outdoor shower and a small vanity. There's a fire pit with benches, chairs, and a hammock strung between a couple pines.

There is no running water in the yurt and the bathroom is a composting outhouse 30' from the yurt door.

Tiny House

The Shepherd's Crook is a tiny house nestled back in the pines. The Crook is just 200 square feet plus an 8'x8' sleeping loft with a steep ladder. There is no electricity or running water. Lots of windows and a big sliding front door let in lots of light during the day. A composting outhouse is 30' out the back door. There's a small two-burner propane stove on the counter in the small kitchen space with the basics to cook/eat for two. A potable water hydrant is located by the barn. Self-sufficiency is a must for this unique stay. Be prepared for a rustic and adventurous experience. You will find a few basics, like mugs, plates/bowls, silverware.

Farm owners live straight across the road from these properties, and enjoy hosting folks on the farm and helping them enjoy their time here in the Adirondacks. The farm is close proximity to High Peaks hiking trails, 15 min to Whiteface, and 25 to Lake Placid. Come enjoy a fantastic Adirondack farm-stay at Blue Pepper Farm!
